So, back
to the punctured fuel tank on the Equinox. We feared that between coordinating
with insurance, getting a replacement shipped in and dealing with a shop who
indicated they were backed up at least 2 weeks, we were pretty sure we were
going to have to alter our schedule. Since overly crowded California compelled
us to make advanced reservations, we knew what a headache we were about to
experience trying to rebook.
Well luck
was with us. We did have to move on to Petaluma from Vallejo, but it’s only
about a hour drive back to where the shop is located. They were able to get the
tank shipped and installed with a whole day to spare on our booked time in
Petaluma. Yippeee! No itinerary changes required by this mishap!
